The Two of Us Finally Outsmarted the Critter!

Hubby was setting the trap again last night.  I came in, just at the right time! He was going to use just 1/2 can of the tuna. NO! I say. That raccoon hasn't come to the 1/2 can since you started doing that. Use the whole can! "Okay, Whatever you say!" was his response.  
I forgot to bring the nuts in! 
This morning, I was up later for some reason. Went to the living room, where hubby was already sitting with his coffee and paper.  He looked up and said, "We got a coon!"  "I already took him for a ride."  
That is when hubby told me he took a stick and put it through the cage and down through the crack in the deck floor.  The raccoon couldn't move the cage, and so, went inside! Kabam! the door closed and trapped him in!   
I went out on the deck and saw where the raccoon had chewed on the stick. I washed off the deck then, but with a smile on my face this time!
It took the two of us to outwit this critter. Oh and by the way, Hubby said it was just a medium sized raccoon. Not the HUGE one I thought it would be. One of those smart aleck teenagers!
I hope the raccoon incidents are over but we will set it again tonight! Hopefully, I will remember to bring in the nuts. Thankfully, it wasn't real full as the Grackles, Blue Jays and Downy ate most of it yesterday!

I'm Worn Out!

It’s Nice Outside By Mary J Williams © I thought about the birds Stepped outside the door The sun was shining brightly Which I just adore! I knew I had washing So went down the stairs Transferred wash to the dryer I know you don’t care! Winter-Yard Gardens Birds Critters and ME

Winter-the Yard, Birds and Critters and Me by Mary J Williams It's sort of winter but the weather is mild You can be outside Which makes me smile Weeds were pulled and I planted a seed one was a tree If it grows, it will surprise me I have had fun watching the birds an argument between bluebirds and the Robins I've heard Chickadees flying in and the Titmouse too I grab the camera Then off they flew I have a flowerbox sits on the rail It's on the two by six so falling will fail It also can sit on a two by four but mine just has the space The birds walk through the tunnel and disappear without a trace One time, while filling the feeders One of the tunnels had a bird A sparrow was in there  He ran so fast, he was blurred I love watching them  they think the tunnels fun Maybe they get cool If there's a lot of sun. I have to wash the deck  to try and keep it clean with bird seed and poop Dog pee I mean When it's cold outside Or very early morn The dogs do their business
